Radar Booth Addition, Robins Air Force Base, GA
Warner Robins, GA
The 402nd Electronics Maintenance Group at Robins Air Force Base required a 6,500 SF addition to Building 640 to house a new radar test facility. Raymond provided full architecture and engineering services for the addition, which includes two radar test chambers, a loading dock and ramp, a mechanical room, and perimeter sidewalk, along with site grading, demolition, and utility replacement. Because the test chamber itself was designed by a third-party vendor, our team coordinated closely to resolve facility constraints: a 125-ton air-cooled chiller, a five-foot-thick slab on cast auger piles, vibration isolation from the existing structure, and roll-out doors sized for chamber assembly after construction.
