Lockheed Martin B1 Building Roof Replacement, GA

Marietta, GA

Lockheed Martin's B-1 Building in Marietta supports production and maintenance for the C-130, C-5A, and F-22 adjacent to Dobbins Air Force Base. Raymond led design and budgeting for more than 2,040,000 SF of roof replacement, likely one of the largest roofing projects in the Southeast, along with a comprehensive structural analysis and a new roof fall protection system. Registered Roof Consultants and engineers verified existing conditions before designing a modified bitumen base bid and TPO alternate, both FM 1-90 rated for a 20-year service life. Recognizing that existing drainage did not meet code, Raymond developed a compliant alternative that saved more than $10 million in construction costs.
