Vidalia Onion Museum Renovation

Vidalia, GA

Raymond provided architectural and multidiscipline engineering services for the renovation of the Vidalia Onion Museum, a public cultural facility in Vidalia, Georgia. Planning reconfigured exhibit galleries, visitor reception and retail, a children's learning area, and a theater space, with improved circulation and wayfinding. Selective demolition of the second-floor mezzanine exposed the original ceiling volume and cupola in the main display space while maintaining structural stability. Additional work included basement waterproofing, ADA ramps and accessibility upgrades, exterior repairs, and a new covered outdoor deck for events. HVAC was replaced with split-system heat pumps, and plumbing and ventilation were upgraded to serve restrooms and a demonstration kitchen.
