The Red Hat office tower is a 20-story high-rise in downtown Raleigh. Raymond had documented the need for roof replacement four years earlier, when a nuclear moisture survey found most of the insulation saturated. Our team provided full evaluation and replacement design for the 20th and 9th story roofs under severely constrained access: busy downtown streets on two sides, parking decks unable to support scaffolding on the others, and elevators reaching only the 19th floor. The assembly includes a vapor barrier, rigid coverboard, and fleece-backed single-ply membrane terminated with liquid-applied flashing, fully encapsulating the insulation. Raymond also produced a Roof Access Narrative Report coordinating city, parking, and contractor logistics.
