Raymond served as Architect and Engineer of Record for the rehabilitation of the historic Harris Memorial Armory in Blackstone, Virginia. Work began with documentation of existing conditions and structural and building envelope investigations, then developed rehabilitation strategies that preserved the building's historic architectural character while supporting continued public use. Exterior scope addressed roof replacement, masonry repair and repointing, drainage improvements, and restoration of exterior architectural elements using historically appropriate materials and methods. Structural investigation of the existing framing informed targeted reinforcement and repair. Interior renovations improved circulation, restored finishes where feasible, and modernized the commercial kitchen, with phasing that maintained safe access for community activities throughout construction.
