Raymond provided architectural consulting for the interior renovation of the Reference Room at the South Carolina Archives and History Building in Columbia. The project focused on targeted finish and lighting upgrades that improve visual comfort, durability, and energy performance inside an actively occupied archival facility. Scope included evaluation of existing conditions, development of lighting layouts and finish selections, preparation of construction documents, and coordination of asbestos testing for ceiling and flooring materials before construction. Design integrated energy-efficient LED lighting compatible with the existing electrical infrastructure while maintaining illumination appropriate for archival research and document handling. Delivered under the state's IDIQ framework, the work included bid support and limited construction administration.
