Raymond provided architectural and engineering services for the Virginia Holocaust Museum master plan and the renovations that followed, within a historic 1899 heavy-timber and load-bearing masonry warehouse in Richmond. The master plan, provided pro bono, established a framework for long-term facility investment, space utilization, and building systems upgrades, and included a facility condition assessment and evaluation of envelope performance. Building on that plan, Raymond delivered full design services for phased renovations reimagining the museum's public spaces: a reconfigured entry sequence and circulation, a sound-isolated introductory film room, improved acoustics, museum-quality lighting, increased daylighting, and a new reception environment, all designed to respect the building's historic fabric.
