Hernando County School District needed clear direction on the condition of its roofs and viable remediation options before a fiscal year budget deadline. Raymond performed a visual assessment at Powell Middle School to document defects in the roof membrane and components including drainage, curbing, and flashing, took core samples to confirm assembly composition, and flew an infrared drone scan to identify suspected anomalies. Our report outlined findings alongside recommendations to repair, coat, or replace. The assemblies had reached the end of their useful life; replacement was recommended for two one-story classroom buildings, with coating or replacement offered for the two-story gymnasium. Raymond is now providing design services entirely in-house.
