Raymond was retained by the Georgia Board of Regents to provide East Georgia State College with full building envelope and engineering services to correct several system failures and renew key envelope components to preserve multiple buildings on campus. The buildings requiring renovation consisted of the Student Activities Center, Academic Building, Physical Education building, and the Luck Flanders Gambrell Building. All buildings had a requirement to correct either the roof or building envelope while the Gambrell Building required modifications to existing stormwater drainage.

During the project, Raymond provided an aerial infrared moisture survey which consisted of a daytime fight over the facilities. Our team conducted a visual assessment of the roof areas A, B, C, D, E, and F to identify all the deficiencies and provided a written summary report. Raymond performed a visual roof condition Assessment, drone Infrared Scan and coring to determine the presence of wet insulation. The Northeast corner roofs on Building 103 were not cored due to the roof warranty not being in place. The buildings with metal roof systems are not part of the Drone IR Scan Infrared scan was performed to determine the amount of wet insulation and its location within the roof system. When approximately 20% of the existing roofing is suspected to contain moisture the cost savings of a recover roof system are drastically reduced.

At the request of Florida State University (FSU), Raymond performed a limited building envelope condition assessment of FAMU-FSU College of Engineering Buildings A and B. Raymond performed limited visual condition assessments of the roof areas, façade/exterior cladding, and fenestration. Raymond also conducted testing in accordance with AAMA 501.2 Quality Assurance and Diagnostic Water Leakage Field Check of Installed Storefronts, Curtain Walls, and Glazing Systems, blower door testing in general accordance with ASTM E779 Standard Test Method for Determining Air Leakage Rate by Fan Pressurization and collected temperature and relative humidity readings inside the facility over a 36-day period.
