Service

About the service

Digital innovation at Raymond focuses on transforming how architecture and engineering projects are planned, designed, and delivered. Our team develops technology-driven tools and workflows that improve efficiency, enhance decision-making, and unlock new ways of solving complex design challenges.

Rather than relying solely on traditional methods, we actively develop and implement custom software, data-driven workflows, and AI-assisted tools that support our internal teams and provide scalable solutions for clients and industry partners.

That work is grounded in the field. Our teams deploy laser scanning to capture existing conditions, FAA-certified drone crews and certified thermographers to survey building envelopes, and building performance modeling to test design assumptions before construction begins. The data we collect is delivered in formats our clients can actually use — integrated into CAD, GIS, and asset management systems that support long-term capital planning.

By combining engineering expertise with modern software development and emerging technologies, Raymond is creating smarter processes for the built environment. From automating repetitive tasks to building cloud-based platforms that streamline project coordination, our digital innovation team helps bridge the gap between engineering practice and modern technology.

The results are faster insights, improved collaboration, and better-informed project outcomes.

What’s included in the services?

Reality Capture & Laser Scanning – We use 3D laser scanning to document existing conditions with precision, establishing a reliable digital baseline for renovation and restoration design.

Drone & Aerial Imaging – Our FAA-certified drone crews capture high-resolution aerial and rooftop imagery to survey facilities safely and without disrupting operations.

Infrared Thermography – Our Level I and Level II certified thermographers use thermal imaging to identify energy loss, thermal bridging, moisture intrusion, and wet insulation across building envelopes and roof systems.

BIM Modeling & Coordination – We deliver projects in Building Information Modeling environments, coordinating disciplines within a shared model to identify conflicts before they reach the field.

3D Visualization & Rendering – We create visualizations that help clients, boards, and stakeholders understand a design before construction begins.

AI-Assisted Concept Visualization – Through our proprietary ACE process, we generate early visual concepts during visioning and planning, so stakeholders can see what a project could become rather than imagine it.

Building Performance Modeling – We use hygrothermal and energy modeling to simulate how assemblies will perform over time, testing for condensation risk and thermal performance during design.

CAD & GIS Data Integration – We post-process survey and assessment findings into CAD and GIS formats, giving facility teams data they can maintain and build on.

Digital Asset Management – We help facility owners organize documents, assessment records, and condition data in centralized, accessible systems that support long-term planning.

AI-Assisted Document & Design Review – We apply AI tools to review drawing sets and specifications for coordination conflicts, missing references, and documentation gaps before they become RFIs.

Custom Software Development – Our in-house development team builds applications and platforms that address workflow problems we have encountered on real projects.

Workflow Automation – We identify repetitive, manual processes and automate them, reducing turnaround time and eliminating transcription errors.

Data Dashboards & Reporting – We build reporting tools and dashboards that turn field data into organized, decision-ready information for owners and facility managers.

Technology Consulting – We advise clients on digital delivery strategy, data standards, and the tools and workflows that fit their organization.

Our Platforms

Raymond does not only use technology — we build it. Our software products grew out of problems our own teams ran into in the field.

Align

Align brings drawing markup and structured specification editing into a single application, with one AI assistant, ALI, that reads the full drawing set and the editable specification together. Its Page Turn feature performs a systematic cross-discipline review of an entire plan set, flags coordination conflicts and quality issues, ranks them by severity, and promotes accepted findings directly into a markup or RFI workflow. Align is fully web-based, so there is nothing to install and no desktop deployment to manage.

Veritas

Veritas is a roof asset management platform built specifically for roofing — construction observation, quality assurance reporting, and roof condition assessments. Designed for in-field technician use on iPhone and iPad, with cloud storage, drone compatibility, and a project dashboard that supports map or PDF roof plans and auto-generated, editable reports. Teams using Veritas report an average 33% reduction in on-site survey time and a 70% reduction in report writing time, across more than 10 million square feet assessed to date.

ACE (Accelerated Concept Engine)

ACE is Raymond's proprietary AI-assisted concept visualization process. It supports early project visioning, master planning, community and civic projects, and stakeholder alignment by producing visual concepts before design fully begins — shifting the conversation from "we can design it" to "here is what it could become." ACE is intended for conceptual visioning and project exploration only.

Quantum

Quantum is a free federal solicitation platform for finding, tracking, and sharing federal opportunities — awards, RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, and Sources Sought — with access to historical federal contract award data researchable by firm, contract, agency, geography, and NAICS code. Built for both web and mobile.
