Through an Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) with Greenville County Public Schools, Raymond provided a complete building envelope renovation for Mauldin High School. Services included a comprehensive building envelope evaluation followed by spray rack testing at six curtain wall systems. The Raymond Team also performed the roof replacement design and oversaw the reinstallation of windows at the previously tested curtain walls. Construction administration and QA / QC services were also performed during the construction phase of this project.

DESC Maintenance Warehouse | Beaufort, SC | 2016-2018
The DESC Warehouse was required by the county in order to store various materials for the District Education Support Center. Raymond developed the design of the warehouse building which incorporated various sections, some with heating and cooling capabilities. The warehouse was designed to have an elevated racking system and a drop off drive for the incoming trucks dropping off materials. An added feature of this project was the incorporation of a solar farm to the back of the property. This 73-acre site houses a 1-megawatt array of photovoltaic panels. These panels are separately metered and feed back to the power grid. Our team’s design of these panels helped Beaufort County School’s initiative to “go green.”

Griffin Middle School | Smyrna, GA | 2019
Raymond performed the roof replacement design after the older section of the facility continually experienced water intrusion into the interior of the building. This roof replacement project was unique in that there were two main sections of the building; one constructed in 1972 and the other in 2005. Between the two facilities, there were 4 different decking types/roof assemblies and 3 different types of drainage facilities. Our team successfully completed a new roof and drainage design that will allow 20 years of service and protection to the interior of the building.

Hightower Middle School | Marietta, GA | 2015
Cobb County’s Hightower Trail Middle School was experiencing water infiltration through the built-up roofing, the metal roof panels, brick walls above the roofing, and the EIFS and windows at a center clerestory structure. Raymond provided A/E services associated with the roof replacement, replacement of the EIFS and windows at the clerestory, and modifications necessary to prevent water infiltration through the brick.
